Welcome to Village Nurseries website.

We hope that our website will answer your questions and give you an insight into pre-school life, however if you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Established in 1968 “Village Nurseries” are first and foremost a family community, firmly believing that a child who is happy and secure in pre-school is one who will thrive and learn and therefore achieve. We have a simple philosophy to provide the very best in childcare through commitment, dedication and a passion to succeed.

A warm welcome awaits your child at “Village Nurseries”. Our experienced managers and staff, many of whom have been with us for a number of years, look forward to welcoming both parents and children to their pre-schools and answering any questions that you may have with regard to the structure of the pre-school session, and the many activities that are offered to the children on a  daily basis. All our pre-schools offer a homely environment where children are nurtured and motivated to grow as individuals.

Our dedicated staff will ensure you get peace of mind knowing that those precious hours your child spends away from you are filled with fun, exploration and learning.

From past experience we know that children who attend our pre-schools excel at school at a later stage. Children learn to be social, confident and believe in themselves through earning praise and being valued every single day!

Children need to feel a sense of security and belonging when they are away from their parents, and this is key to the philosophy of all our nurseries. We strive to ensure that all children feel happy, relaxed and safe, and encourage them to feel confident in co-operation and developing good relationships with the adults caring for them and with the other children in the group.

We provide a wide range of appropriate learning materials and activities, both indoors and outdoors. Children are provided with a varied healthy snack each day, fresh air, exercise, and play all contributing positively to their physical, emotional and educational development. Surrounded by their peers, they can develop at their own pace, play a full part in activities devised for their age, and enthusiastically learn new skills.

Each child is recognised and treated as an individual, within a framework of the highest standards and equal opportunities. Good behaviour boundaries are set in place so that children develop levels of respect.

Our high ratios of staff ensure that your child receives high adult interaction in order to feel secure and valued. The majority of our staff hold relevant childcare qualifications and all have been subject to criminal record checks before being employed. All our staff attend regular childcare training run by the local boroughs in order to acquire new skills, and keep abreast of the latest childcare practices and legislation.

Mums and Dads please read:

Please don’t expect too much of me,
I’m learning more than you can see.
Being here simply to enjoy and play,
means more to me than I can say.
Please don’t fret at the end of the day,
If I have nothing to display.
I really gain so much from play,
Social skills and come what may....
So when I come home empty handed,
From such a very busy play.
Please don’t say,
Haven’t you done anything today?
