Managing Behaviour

By establishing clear boundaries according to the level of understanding, children become aware of the routines and begin to understand what is expected of them. Our staff are sensitive to the individual needs of each child, their cultural and family backgrounds, and their developmental stage of learning. Children are not born with an understanding of the rules of acceptable behavior; out staffs are able to manage a wide range or behaviours to ensure every child’s welfare and development. Children benefit most when adults adopt a consistent and positive approach to the management of their behaviour.

The Early Year’s Foundation Stage provides the statutory framework for young children’s learning and development from birth. Our aim is to support and develop each child to become secure, confident, imaginative and creative. We provide a wide range of activities which support children in making progress in each of the areas of learning and development.  In some of these activities children decided how they will use the activity and, in others, an adult takes the lead in helping the children to take part in the activity.
